When we set out to introduce a sustainable packaging solution for the produce industry we chose an established and recycle ready material that we knew inside and out – paperboard. Why you ask?
– The U.S. generated 14.5 million tons of plastic packaging in 2018
– Less than 2 million tons (13.6%) was recycled
– 10 million tons ended up in landfill
With continuous global efforts to reduce single use plastic packaging, we knew we could bring something to our industry that would shift our community forever. We designed ReadyCycle with aqueous barrier coatings, no wax, no labels. Our goal is to have a packaging alternative that is truly intuitive throughout the supply chain, be 100% recyclable and home compostable.
